The Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) is an international event held at UNC Chapel Hill, NC each year. REVCA and the Rotman School of Management are holding a feeder event - VCIC Rotman.
Win here and you are eligible to participate at the Canadian regionals. Then, the Canadian regional event will send its winning team to VCIC at UNC Chapel Hill.
A trip to several startups office or incubators that are in Toronto. Students will have a short networking session with not just the founders but those that are working in the company. The objective is to:
1) Understand the roles and the environment of working in a startup
2) Network and expand reach
3) Develop internship or full-time opportunities.
The Problem Hunt is one of the most challenging and hands-on case competitions of the year organized by REVCA. Spanning over 3 weeks, with finals on November 26, this competition offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into strategic problem-solving. You’ll receive guidance from mentors and venture capitalists, engage in a venture-building workshop, and learn the process of researching and identifying critical problems worth solving. Get ready to explore what it takes to launch a successful startup and make a meaningful impact!
Distinguished startup founders from various industries (from tech startups to social entrepreneurs) will share learnings and stories from their entrepreneurial experience.
Students will get a chance to ask questions related to entrepreneurship and gain insights on how to kickstart their entrepreneurship journey.
Elevate is one of the most popular tech fest in Canada. Connecting with accomplished Elevate speakers will forge valuable relationships that can lead to mentorship and even potential investment for students' ventures.
